Our team of specialists provide embedded solutions to aerospace sheet metal forming problems through the application of LenisAer ADaPTiVE™Technologies (Advanced Design and Processing Techniques in Virtual Environments).
LenisAer ADaPTiVE™ Technologies were born out of extensive engagement with the aerospace sector in the optimisation of current forming processes and the development of new, high value, niche manufacturing opportunities. LenisAer has a proven track record in developing custom-built solutions from initial conceptual design through to production, as demonstrated by our proprietary extended inlet cowl forming technologies.
LenisAer was originally spun out from the University of Ulster's Advanced Metal Forming Research (AMFoR) Group which provides a unique blend of capabilities including mathematical theories of plasticity, mechanical metallurgy, materials characterisation and industrial forming process optimisation. The University of Ulster has a long history in Engineering and over 26 years specifically in sheet metal forming. The University of Ulster is committed to applied engineering education, research and innovation.
